You are talking about downloading a template from Microsoft Office Online. In that case click the templates tab, click all templates, scroll down and click browse templates by product, click PowerPoint. Scroll through the templates, click on the one you want to download, click the download button. A small dialog should appear asking you to save the template, normally it should take you to the correct folder, click save. Once finished the template will appear in PPT, if you want to check in what folder it is, click File - Save as - click on the list arrow next to the file name box and the full path should appear. Should be something like this: C:UsersUsernameAppDataRoamingMicrosoftTemplatesDocument Themes, if another folder is suggested change it so it points to the path mentioned.
